Barca in Lisbon for Semedo

A Barcelona entourage has travelled to Lisbon to discuss the transfer of defender Nelson Semedo with Benfica, say reports in Spain.

According to Marca, the Blaugrana are going ‘all out’ for the 23-year-old after ending their pursuit of Arsenal full-back Hector Bellerin.

Sporting director Robert Fernandez and Javier Bordas have travelled to the Portuguese capital after reportedly having a €30m offer rejected for the right-back.

The Portuguese champions are said to have told the Catalans they would not refuse the international for less than €55m although there is optimism a compromise can be reached.

Diario Sport and Record had reported earlier this week the two clubs were locked in talks for Semedo, who has made over 60 appearances for Benfica.
