Mangala set for PSG switch?

French giants Paris Saint-Germain are hopeful of a deal for Manchester City defender Eliaquim Mangala after a season-long loan with Valencia, say reports.

According to France Football, the former Porto star is available for sale for a fee of €25m but the Parisians would have greater preference for a loan arrangement.

This comes about after Unai Emery’s side missed out on a deal for former Real Madrid defender Pepe, who instead opted to join Turkish champions Besiktas.

Valencia reportedly held a clause in the loan deal which would allow them to sign the France international permanently in an €18m move but they simply did not have the finances or desire to push this through.

Meanwhile, PSG are also set to tie up the signing of former Sevilla and Barcelona full-back Dani Alves, who has opted for Paris ahead of a move to Manchester City.
