Barcelona have completed the loan signing of teenage midfielder Vitinho from Palmeiras with an option to buy, it has been confirmed.
The 19-year-old is set to form part of Barca’s B team in the second tier but he will spend pre-season with the first team squad and could feature under Ernesto Valverde.
No mention of the price of the loan deal has been reported; although it is expected the option to purchase the Brazilian in a year’s time is €12m.
"I'm really happy to be here," Vitinho told Barcelona’s website.
"I have always been a big follower of Barca, the best club in the world, and now I can play for the same team where Rivaldo and Ronaldinho were such a success and with my idol, Neymar."
Vitinho has only made two senior appearances for the Brazilian club, with both coming last season.
