Sevilla have completed the signing of Colombian striker Luis Muriel from Sampdoria on a five-year deal, the club have confirmed.
Although no club have given any indication of the transfer fee involved, it is widely reported in the Spanish press to be €20m – a club record for Los Rojiblancos.
Reports in Marca on Monday also suggested the move included a €50m release clause alongside 20% of any future fee for the Italian club.
Muriel becomes Sevilla’s third signing of the summer following the arrivals of Argentine midfielders Ever Banega and Guido Pizarro from Inter and Tigres respectively.
