Rami agrees Marseille move

Olympique Marseille have agreed a fee of €6m with Sevilla for the transfer of defender Adil Rami, according to multiple reports.

The Spanish press have verified reports in RMC Sport that the 31-year-old has agreed a four-year deal with the French club, alongside a picture which appears to show the defender at the club’s facilities.

Rami played under current Marseille Coach Rudi Garcia for three seasons at Lille and won the Ligue 1 and Coupe de France Double in 2011, before leaving for Valencia.

The central defender was also reportedly the subject of interest from Turkish champions Besiktas although that move fell through when they signed former Real Madrid defender Pepe.

The France international won the Europa League title with the Andalucians in 2016 and made 79 appearances for the club.
