Sevilla have reportedly broken their club record transfer fee to sign Sampdoria striker Luis Muriel for €20m, according to reports.
The Andalucians released a statement over the weekend to confirm an agreement with the Italian club had been reached, with a five-year contract expected to be signed.
Various reports suggest Los Rojiblancos have spent €20m on the striker alongside 20% of any future sell on fee forthe Colombian, who scored 13 goals last season.
According to Marca, the deal also includes a €50m release clause with the completion of a medical due imminently.
Muriel will join fellow South Americans Ever Banega and Guido Pizarro as incomings at Sanchez Pizjuan, alongside a deal for Aston Villa’s French full back Jordan Amavi.
