Real Mallorca striker Brandon Thomas Llamas has joined Ligue 1 side Rennes on a three-year deal, it has been confirmed.
The highly-rated 22-year-old attacker had starred for Los Bermellones in the past two seasons but their relegation to Spain’s regionalised third tier has accelerated his transfer away from the club.
“The board really told me that they trust in me, they believe in me,” Brandon told the Rennes website.
“The club is for me a very good club in France. Over the last ten years, the club has been regularly in Ligue 1 and has had some good seasons.
“It is a huge opportunity for me and I am excited.”
Brandon netted 19 goals in 53 starts in the second tier for the Palma-based club and had reportedly attracted attention from top flight clubs.
