Mariano has reportedly committed his future to Sevilla, with talks over a new contract planned.
According to Estadio Deportivo, Mariano has signalled a willingness to ignore interest from other clubs after being promised a new deal by the Andalusians once the transfer windows shuts for the summer.
The right-back’s contract expires next year, but he is happy at Sevilla, who similarly do not want to lose him for nothing.
However, ED reports there is less positive news regarding Mariano’s request for a Spanish passport.
The Brazilian currently occupies a non-EU spot in the Sevilla squad, but the newspaper admits “everything indicates” that he will not have dual nationality in time for next season.
