Bojan targets Stoke fresh start

Bojan Krkic is hopeful of reviving his Stoke City career after returning to the Premier League club from a loan spell at Mainz.

The 26-year-old admitted he missed the Potters fans during his stint in the Bundesliga – where he netted only once in 11 appearances – and hopes to force his way back into the first team.

“I really love the Stoke City fans," Bojan told the club’s website.

“For me, it was hard to be in another team in February. I never expect that, but the football is like this.

“Every day, every week, the Stoke fans send me messages. I feel them really close.

"I saw videos from the last game (Stoke's win at Southampton), so that made me really proud and I really love Stoke City fans.

“It (the love) is really important because I am not from here, I am from a different country, from a different city and don't know anyone.

“I only knew Marc Muniesa, but it was really fast to get to know everyone and the fans.

“It's a real family club, a family team, and this is important for me. It's nice when you are away and the people are thinking of you."
