Real Betis are reportedly favourites to sign Chelsea midfielder Mario Pasalic, who is destined to once again depart Stamford Bridge this summer, say reports.
According to Estadio Deportivo, both Coach Quique Setien and sporting vice president Lorenzo Serra Ferrer believe the Croatian would strengthen Los Verdiblancos.
Betis have already made four signings this summer and are close to two more – Jordi Amat and Andres Guardado – but show no sign of slowing down as they reshape their squad for next season.
Reports in England have stated Leeds United and Glasgow Celtic have joined the list of suitors for the midfielder, with Lazio and Galatasaray also lurking, although the Seville-based club are in the most advanced position.
“I can only say that there are a lot of clubs interested in Pasalic of which Betis is one,” agent Marko Naletilic told Estadio Deportivo in June.
“Betis are an important club in Spain and Europe, for whom I have great respect.”
The 22-year-old has already spent one campaign in Spain – with Elche in 2014/15 – and he scored five goals in 20 Serie A appearances for Milan last season.
