Swansea City have completed the signing of Las Palmas midfielder Roque Mesa in a €12.5m deal, it has been confirmed.
The 28-year-old midfielder has penned a four-year deal at the Liberty Stadium after successfully completing his medical and will join his new teammates on Monday.
Mesa first joined Las Palmas in 2010 and became an established star at Los Amarillos, helping them with a return to the top flight in 2015.
Such has been his level of performance for the Gran Canarian club, he has long been rumoured to be close to a call-up to the Spanish national team.
Mesa, who has become renowned in La Liga for his ability to control the tempo of a game from a deep-lying midfield role and despite having a €30m release clause in his contract, Las Palmas are satisfied with the nature of the deal.
