Both Malaga and Girona are hopeful of a loan deal for highly-rated Manchester City midfielder Brahim Diaz, say reports in Spain.
According to Diario AS, the 17-year-old is wanted by both La Liga clubs with each side thinking they hold an advantage in completing the deal.
Diaz joined City from hometown club Malaga in 2015 for €250,000 while Girona are confident they can strike several loan deals with the Manchester club due to the close ties between the club’s respective ownerships.
The creative midfielder – who has established himself as a Spanish Under 19 international – is set to be involved for Pep Guardiola’s side in their preseason tour of the United States, where they will play Real Madrid, Manchester United and Tottenham.
