Malaga midfielder Ignacio Camacho looks set to join German club Wolfsburg in a €13m deal, according to reports in Spain.
La Opinion De Malaga report the deal is very close and whilst the Bundesliga side’s offer is €5m below the 27-year-old’s release clause, the transfer would be very important economically for the Costa del Sol club.
Camacho has featured 177 times in La Liga for the Andalucian club since joining from Atletico Madrid for €1.5m in 2010, becoming an integral part of the club’s midfield.
West Bromwich Albion were reportedly close to signing the Zaragoza-native last year but negotiations broke down over the transfer fee after personal terms had been agreed.
Reports earlier this summer suggested Italian giants Lazio were also interested in Camacho, who looks set for a move away from Spain.
