Las Palmas have confirmed they have agreed a loan deal with Vitolo should Atletico Madrid sign him from Sevilla this summer.
The 27-year-old has been linked with a move to Diego Simeone’s side this summer amid reports they will activate his €40m release clause with the Andalucians.
"The President has come to an agreement so that if Vitolo does join Atletico de Madrid, he will join UD Las Palmas on loan until January," Los Amarillos sporting director Toni Cruz told reporters at Tuesday’s press conference.
Atletico would not be able to register the winger for official matches until January due to their FIFA registration ban.
Vitolo is originally from Gran Canaria and has welcomed the idea of rejoining his hometown club on a temporary basis.
