Sevilla winger Vitolo is set to join Atletico Madrid for €40m but he will join Las Palmas on a loan agreement until January, say reports in Spain.
According to Onda Cero, Atleti will activate the 27-year-old’s release clause at Estadio Sanchez Pizjuan while he will immediately join Los Amarillos – his hometown club.
The Spain international is currently on holidays in his native Gran Canaria and Estadio Deportivo verify reports he will stay there beyond 12 July to complete his six-month loan to the club.
Sevilla are reportedly far from happy with events as they believe their prized asset has angled for a move away from the club and it now appears certain he will not return.
Reports suggest Angel Correa or Javier Manquillo could be offered as part exchange for Vitolo, but it is unlikely the winger will remain at his current club.
