Courtois agent reveals Madrid meetings

The agent of Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois has revealed he has held regular meetings with Real Madrid to ‘evaluate’ his client’s ‘situation’.

Christophe Henrotay admits he has discussed the Belgian goalkeeper – who spent three seasons in Madrid on loan at Atletico – with Los Blancos, who are reportedly on the market for a new goalkeeper.

Zinedine Zidane’s side have been linked with moves to David De Gea and Gianluigi Donnarumma, although any deal this summer to replace Keylor Navas now seems unlikely.

"Obviously the biggest clubs are interested in Thibaut, and that includes the reigning European champions,” Henrotay told Belgian magazine Sport.

"He is a goalkeeper who wins you games, wins you trophies.

"I meet regularly with Real Madrid's directors and Thibaut's situation is evaluated. My role is to keep him informed of the situation."

Courtois’ daughter and former girlfriend currently live in the Spanish capital and he has previously spoken of his affection for the city.
