There is 'no doubt' Real Madrid forward Cristiano Ronaldo is currently ‘the best player in the world’ according to Brazilian legend Pele.
The 32-year-old Portugal forward is the bookmakers forward to retain this year’s Ballon d’Or award after helping guide Madrid to both La Liga and Champions League glory, with the former Brazil interanational believes there is ‘no doubt’ he is the world’s best.
“Two years ago I gave the (Ballon d’Or) trophy to him and it was an honour for me,” the 76-year-old told reporters at a media event.
“The best player in the world? No doubt. As I have mentioned, I think that today there is no doubt the best player, the best scorer and the best forward is Cristiano Ronaldo.”
The Portuguese is currently at the heart of wild transfer speculation after reportedly informing Los Blancos he wishes to leave the club this summer.
