Mourinho’s Morata message?

Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho has reportedly told Real Madrid striker Alvaro Morata, ‘come to me, you will be important here’.

According to Marca, United have made the striker their number one transfer priority this summer and will make their first formal offer of €70m on Monday, although Madrid are hopeful of a deal closer to €90m.

The 24-year-old is said to be open to the idea of the move and has reportedly made contact with United’s Spanish trio of David De Gea, Ander Herrera and Juan Mata to express an interest.

Marca report they have seen a message sent by the Portuguese Coach to the striker – who scored 15 La Liga goals in 14 starts last season – which is evidence such a bid is forthcoming.

United have released Zlatan Ibrahimovic and could lose Wayne Rooney this summer, making the signing of centre forward a priority for the English giants.
