Lyon striker Alexandre Lacazette will not rule out the possibility of signing for Atletico Madrid this summer and not playing until January.
Despite Los Rojiblancos failing in their bid to overturn their FIFA ban on registering new players until January 2018, they could sign players in the meantime in a similar fashion to Arda Turan and Aleix Vidal at Barcelona in 2015.
"It is possible. This is a case that cannot be ruled out," Lacazette replied when asked on Eurosport if he would consider not playing until January in order to sign for Atletico.
"I did not think about it too much because the president [Jean-Michel Aulas] said it was not possible. We must prepare for all the contingencies but that is not the plan I would prefer.
“The Premier League? It is a beautiful championship with teams that are interesting, for now, these are only rumours.
“Dortmund? That would be interesting as they are such a great club.”
