Arda & Mathieu to leave Barca?

Barcelona will reportedly listen to offers for Arda Turan and Jeremy Mathieu this summer.

Sources close to AS claim Barca are hopeful of recouping the €41m they paid for Arda, who failed to establish himself in his two years at Camp Nou.

Despite receiving a “fantastic” offer to play in China back in January, new rules limiting Chinese clubs to three foreign players in matchday squads mean it is unlikely he is headed for East Asia.

The midfielder’s first club, Galatasaray, are also mentioned by the newspaper, but the Turkish side “currently don’t have the economic power to pay the figure that Barca are holding out for, or his salary.”

The Italian Press have also suggested that Arda’s agent Ahmet Bulut met with Inter sporting director Piero Ausilio in Milan last month, while Arsenal are thought to be in the race.

Barca will also consider loaning Arda to another Spanish team for a fee of “around €7m”.

On the other hand, Mathieu’s agent Bayram Tutumlu – who lives in Barcelona – is on record as saying he has already spoken to Bartomeu about taking the defender to Galatasaray.

However, Cimbom have yet to respond to the representative’s request.
