Sevilla are poised to test Arsenal’s resolve with a transfer bid for striker Lucas Perez, say reports in Spain.
According to AS, the 28-year-old – who featured only eleven times in the Premier League, scoring once – is keen to leave North London this summer and wants a return to La Liga.
Negotiations between the Andalucians and the striker were reportedly at ‘an advanced stage’ last season before the Gunners upped an offer and completed his signing for €20m late in the transfer window.
AS say former Rojiblancos Coach Unai Emery was keen for the club to open negotiations but Jorge Sampaoli was much less keen and his indifference ensured no deal took place.
Earlier this month, Perez revealed he wanted to make a return to Deportivo La Coruna this summer less than a year after leaving Galicia.
