Mangala set for Valencia exit

Eliaquim Mangala’s spell at Valencia looks set to come to an end with reports Newcastle United want to sign the defender permanently.

According to Plaza Deportiva, former Los Che boss Rafael Benitez is willing to sanction a €15m deal for the Frenchman to join the Magpies, who would be open to such a move.

The 26-year-old defender has a clause in his loan deal which would allow Valencia to sign him permanently in an €18m move but multiple reports suggest the club simply do not currently have those funds available.

City are willing to accept a cut price deal for the defender who they signed from FC Porto for a reported €44m back in 2014, who impressed for Valencia in 33 appearances for the club this campaign.

Meanwhile, Marca report a number of other players are set to depart the Mestalla this summer including Aymen Abdennour, Aderlan Santos and Munir El-Haddadi.
