Chelsea defender Cesar Azpilicueta has admitted it is ‘flattering’ to be linked to Barcelona but insisted he is ‘very happy’ in London.
The 27-year-old has been linked with a move to the Camp Nou by reports in Spain recently, with Marca and AS both reporting he is considered an alternative to the signing of Hector Bellerin.
"It's flattering that a club like Barcelona can be interested in you. Last year, after a bad season on a collective level, we did not have those types of rumours,” Azpilicueta told Marca.
“However, this season we have crowned Champions and this type of information indicates that we have done well.
"Interest from teams of this level is very positive but I am very happy here. I feel very valued by the club and I do not think of anything else."
The former Osasuna and Marseille man played every match of Chelsea’s successful title victory this season and is held in high-regard throughout the Premier League.
