Real Madrid goalkeeper Keylor Navas dedicated the club’s La Liga title triumph to children and families battling against cancer.
The Costa Rican shot-stopper shaved his head following Sunday’s 2-0 victory at Malaga, a result which clinched Madrid’s first title in five years, to show solidarity with those fighting against the illness.
“I pray to god for all of them, that they can recover from their illness,” Navas told AS in the aftermath of the celebrations at La Rosaleda.
“For all of the kids fighting cancer. For their families, for those who continue fighting. This title is for them."
Navas showed greatly improved form towards the end of the campaign including another fine performance on Sunday.
