Coquelin, Camacho wanted by Valencia

Valencia are targeting Arsenal midfielder Francis Coquelin and have also made enquiries for Malaga’s Ignacio Camacho, according to a report in Spain.

AS state Los Che are ‘very attentive’ to Coquelin’s situation at Arsenal, who despite making 28 starts this season is thought to be available for transfer at the Gunners.

The 26-year-old has made 74 Premier League starts since joining the North London side in 2008 and has also enjoyed loan spells at Lorient, Freiburg and Charlton.

Valencia have also reportedly enquired to the Costa del Sol club for Camacho, who has a release clause of €18m but representatives at the Mestalla believes a fee of €15m may be enough to secure his transfer.

The report concludes a host of players are set to depart Valencia this summer, including Mario Suarez – who will return to Watford following a loan spell – as new Coach Marcelino Garcia Toral has informed the club he has no desire to retain the former Atletico Madrid midfielder, while the futures of Enzo Perez and Diego Alves remain uncertain.
