Betis ‘in talks’ for cut-price Nolito

Spain international striker Nolito is in talks with Real Betis and could leave Manchester city for as little as €4m, according to reports.

The BBC report the Seville-based club are ‘in talks’ with City for the former Celta Vigo star but his wage of €120,000 per week could be a stumbling block.

The 30-year-old moved to the Etihad stadium last summer from the Galicians for €15m last summer and despite three goals in his first four games for the club – whom he joined ahead of Barcelona – he has only started one match in 2017.

El Mundo Deportivo carry the report of interest from Los Verdiblancos and despite the economic difficulties surrounding the deal, the fact that his wife is a Betis fan could hold some sway in the deal.

Los Verdiblancos are believed to have a ‘verbal agreement’ with Osasuna striker Sergio Leon as they aim to strengthen their squad following a disappointing campaign.
