Theo passed Madrid medical – report

Atletico Madrid full-back Theo Hernandez has successfully completed a medical at cross-city Real Madrid, according to reports in Spain.

Marca states Los Blancos have matched the €24m buyout clause for the 19-year-old, who has enjoyed a successful season-long loan spell at Alaves.

The left-back allegedly underwent the successful medical examination at la Clínica Sanitas – La Moraleja in Madrid on Monday morning ahead of the move, which is set to be announced after the Copa Del Rey final between Alaves and Barcelona.

The move looks set to end the so-called ‘non-aggresion pact’ between the two Madrid clubs, who reportedly had a gentleman’s agreement not to sign players from each other.

Such is the timing of the report, two days in advance of Atleti’s second leg of their Champions League semi final against Real, it has provoked scepticism from Los Rojiblancos fans.

The French youth international, who’s brother Lucas recently signed a new long-term deal with Atletico, has also reportedly attracted interest from Barcelona.
