No whistles, reiterates Ronaldo

Cristiano Ronaldo has reiterated his plea for Real Madrid fans not to whistle him after his hat-trick against Atletico on Tuesday.

Ronaldo urged Madrid supporters not to jeer him, regardless of his performances, after his treble against Bayern Munich in the Champions League quarter-finals, and he made the same declaration following another treble, which resulted in Los Blancos taking a 3-0 lead versus Atleti in their last-four tie.

“I just want them not to whistle me. I’m always going to give everything. The tie has yet to be decided,” the forward told Mega after the game.

“It was a complete match from the team, they were phenomenal. It’s a good advantage, but it’s not a definitive one.

“We still have to work next Wednesday because Atletico Madrid are a great team. They’re not in the semi-finals by accident.

“My 400th goal? The team have to be congratulated, they were tremendous. It was my objective to score, but the team played well from start to finish.

“The goals came naturally and normal to me. I'm also happy because I’ve scored my 400th goal for Real Madrid.

“Oblak’s saves? We were close to winning on other occasions, but we didn’t succeed.

“Like in the League, we had chances and ultimately we took them.

“On the other occasions, Oblak was phenomenal. Fortunately, our chances went in this time around.”
