Andres Iniesta is a major doubt for Barcelona’s trip to Espanyol on Saturday after missing training on Friday due to a muscular injury.
The 32-year-old’s absence could lead to Andre Gomes – who netted twice against Osasuna during the week – retaining his place alongside Sergio Busquets and Ivan Rakitic.
"He has some niggles. Tomorrow we will see if he can play,” responded Luis Enrique in his press conference when quizzed over Iniesta’s fitness, although he appeared downbeat.
Neymar will return to the Catalans starting eleven following a three-game ban in which he missed the ties with Real Sociedad, Real Madrid and Osasuna, and is expected to play a part of a front three including Lionel Messi and the returning Luis Suarez.
Barcelona will be playing after Real Madrid's corresponding home game with Valencia, meaning that Los Blancos could take the lead temporarily to add some pressure to the Catalans ahead of the derby.
