Barcelona are ruling out the departure of Jordi Alba to facilitate the signing of Theo Hernandez, say reports in Spain.
Onda Cero reported on Thursday that the Blaugrana are so keen to obtain the Atletico Madrid full-back, currently on a season-long loan at Alaves, they are willing to offer Alba on a loan deal to secure the transfer.
However on Friday Marca state that their contacts at the Camp Nou have confirmed the former Valencia full-back is ‘not transferable’ and will not depart the club under any circumstances.
A change in Barca’s system has seen Alba drop out of the side’s starting eleven in recent months and it was rumoured that Luis Enrique’s departure from the club might see the 28-year-old depart this summer after five years.
