Cristiano Ronaldo has celebrated 100 European goals and thanks Real Madrid, his teammates and the fans for their support.
Ronaldo scored twice at the Allianz Arena to reach a century of goals in European competitions, becoming the first player to hit the milestone, and spoke about the feat to Real Madrid’s official website.
“It’s a great honour to score 100 goals in Europe. [Against Bayern] was a special day, with a very important victory. I’m very happy. I want to thank Madrid for the opportunity of this brilliant career and my teammates too. Many thanks to the club, my teammates and the fans,” the Portuguese said.
“When I started scoring goals in the Champions League I never thought I would beat this record. It’s an honour for me because it’s a very difficult figure. I’m delighted and very happy.”
