Chelsea striker Diego Costa has not dismissed a move to China and admitted he did ‘all that I could’ to force a return to Atletico Madrid last summer.
The 28-year-old’s contract at Stamford Bridge expires in two years and he was dropped from the side’s trip to Leicester in January after an argument over an injury with Coach Antonio Conte after reportedly angling for a move to the Far East.
"Anything can happen,” Costa told El Larguero.
“Why not? You never know. Now I'm happy at Chelsea but if tomorrow the Chinese come and Chelsea tell me I have to go, I will no longer want to stay with them.
"I did all that I could to return (to Atletico) but it didn't happen.
"When Atletico had to wait for me, they didn't wait. There was still a month to go [until the end of transfer window] and they didn't have the patience [Los Rojiblancos signed Kevin Gameiro from Sevilla].
"On Conte's first day, I told him that I wanted to join Atletico and he was upset with me and didn't even look at me. Luckily, I started to score goals."
