Las Palmas have reportedly offered Quique Setien a five-year contract after rushing to meet the Coach’s demands.
Setien’s contract with Las Palmas expires at the end of the season, but Marca reports he has been offered a long-term deal by the islanders.
Las Palmas President Miguel Angel Ramirez stated on Friday that the club would not sit down with Setien over a new contract until the end of the season.
However, the trainer made it clear before Sunday’s 5-2 win against Osasuna that he wanted talks to commence sooner.
Setien took charge of Las Palmas in October 2015 and subsequently guided them to safety in La Liga at their first attempt, while playing an attractive brand of football.
He is expected to give an answer in the next few days.
