Sevilla Coach Jorge Sampaoli admitted the club have not yet formally approached him in regards to extending his current deal at the club.
The 56-year-old was appointed this summer and his current contract runs to June 2018 but the Andalucians are reportedly keen on extending the deal by a further year after reported interest from Barcelona.
"Today we are talking about intentions but there is nothing official," the Argentine Coach told Sevilla's official website ahead of his side’s clash with Athletic Bilbao on Sunday.
"We, the coaching staff, have a contract that ties us, but the rest [contract extension offers] are intentions that have not been followed up by a formal meeting.
"We need to have, crystal clear, what the club's aims will be, the moves the club will take to play for next year and for the future.
"The truth is that there is not much time to think about anything else but the day-to-day."
Sampaoli has guided Sevilla to third in La Liga and into the last 16 of the Champions League, where they lead Leicester City 2-1 after the first leg.
