Isco hints at Madrid departure

Real Madrid midfielder Isco has hinted he may have to leave the club at the end of the season due to lack of playing time.

The 24-year-old’s contract expires in the summer of 2018 and his future may well be decided this summer to ensure Los Blancos don’t risk losing him on a free transfer, and he admitted despite being happy at the Bernabeu, minutes were more important.

"I'm calm. What worries me is to have minutes," Isco told beIN SPORTS.

"A player's career is small. I'm happy here and would stay many more years.

"From now until the end of the season, we will make a decision. It is my future at stake."

The former Malaga star set up both goals as Madrid ran out 2-0 winners over Espanyol on Saturday, but has been frustrated due to limited appearances.
