Paris Saint-Germain two-goal hero Angel Di Maria hailed his side’s ‘perfect performance’ but believes they will need to replicate it at Camp Nou in the return leg.
The 29-year-old opened the scoring for the Parisians with a pinpoint free-kick before Julian Draxler doubled the lead before the break, with birthday boys Di Maria and Edinson Cavani adding further goals in the second half.
"To do that on my birthday was incredible," Di Maria told BeIn Sports after the conclusion of the match.
"As the coach requested, we produced the perfect performance.
"As I have said before, I made the most of the Christmas holidays to be with my family and since 2017 started, things have improved from the first half of the season.
"To qualify, we will need to produce a similar performance. We scored four goals but they could easily do the same in the return leg."
