It is reported that Rafa Benitez is considering his long term future as Newcastle United manager.
The former Real Madrid boss took over at St James' Park in the latter stages of last season and was persuaded to stay on at the club despite their relegation from the Premier League.
The Magpies are currently second in the Championship table and on course to return to the top flight, but reports have emerged this morning that the 56-year-old is unhappy at 'broken promises' by the club hierarchy regarding January transfer activity.
Newcastle did not sign any players last month, meaning the Champions League winning manager will have to make do with the squad he has for the remainder of the campaign.
Though it is said to be unlikely Benitez's departure is imminent, his dissatisfaction with owner Mike Ashley may cause him to walk away at the end of the season.
