Lucas Alcaraz has warned Granada that things will not get any easier for them after Saturday’s 2-0 defeat to Villarreal.
Granada are expected to be among the busiest teams in Spain on transfer-deadline day this Tuesday, with the side further rooted to the bottom of La Liga and backed by Chinese money, but Alcaraz insists signings will not solve the Andalusians’ problems overnight.
“Although we managed to compete well at times, we didn’t have anything positive to show for it,” the Coach said after the game.
“The team held up well in the first half, but set-pieces penalised us a lot.
“Our absences, changes and arrivals in the market don’t help us to gain continuity.
“We’ve counted on players like Cuenca or Foulquier and we’ve seen that they can give us more.
“Villarreal are a team with great potential and more so when playing at home.”
