Las Palmas: Jese wants us

Las Palmas President Miguel Angel Ramirez claims Jese Rodriguez “wants to join” his club ahead of a “key” Friday in negotiations for the attacker.

Las Palmas are Jese’s hometown club, and Ramirez is confident that will be enough to convince the Paris Saint-Germain forward, despite acknowledging the islanders “cannot compete financially” with the likes of Roma and Middlesbrough.

“Fortunately, I’m seeing Jese closer to Las Palmas,” he told Cadena SER.

“Las Palmas can’t compete financially with the others who want Jesse, but the player wants to join.

“Tomorrow [Friday] will be a key day in the negotiations for Jese. We’ve never been so close to signing Jese.”

Las Palmas have also confirmed the signing of ex-Barcelona starlet Alen Halilovic on an 18-month loan from German side Hamburg.

A statement on the club’s official website adds they have the option of making the Croatian’s stay permanent.
