Courtois ‘crazy’ for Madrid

Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois is ‘crazy’ about the thought of signing for Real Madrid and has reportedly already told his teammates.

The Belgian goalkeeper, who previously played for Atletico Madrid, visits Madrid frequently as his wife and daughter still live in the city, and Spanish radio station Cadena Cope report he enquired about enrolling his daughter in a school next year which is the first signal he wishes to return to Spain.

The report goes on to state that the 24-year-old is confident that Los Blancos will not only attempt to sign him but such a deal could go through as early as this summer, with the Belgian telling his teammates at Stamford Bridge about the possibility of such a move.

Courtois made over 150 appearances for Atletico over the course of a three-year loan spell before returning to London in 2014, where he has since become a regular.

The former Genk goalkeeper predicted a return to Spain back in September, after reported links to Zinedine Zidane’s men.
