Osasuna must improve – Caparros

New Osasuna boss Joaquin Caparros has said that the entire team needs to improve if they are to avoid relegation this campaign.

The vastly experienced 61-year-old’s first match in charge saw his side fall to a 2-0 defeat at Leganes to leave Osasuna second-from-bottom with only one win in twelve outings this campaign.

“We all know we have to improve and the players know that more than anyone,” said Caparros.

“We have to be stronger defensively and we have to be more confident on the ball, we have quality in the team but they don’t always show it.

“Tonight we have not been a team, although the two goals came from defensive errors but we did not show enough to fight back.

“There has been a lot of intensity in the training and we all came into this game enthusiastic, but it is another setback we need to bounce back from to get our season back on track.”
