Penalty was harsh, admits Setien

Las Palmas boss Quique Setien has acknowledged the decision to award his side a last minute penalty against Eibar was fortunate.

The hosts were awarded a spot kick late in injury time with the game scoreless after Roque Mesa was adjuded to have been brought down by Florian Lejeune, with Jonathan Viera netting from twelve yards.

"Perhaps the decision was harsh, it looked like he (Lejeune) slipped rather than meaning to foul," admitted the 58-year-old after the game.

"Eibar are a really strong side – they are disciplined, rigorous and work extremely hard so it was a difficult match for us and we're delighted, and relieved, to come away with the win.

"They had clearer chances than us over the game, but that's football and now we're in a strong league position."

Los Amarillos now lie ninth in the standings, two points and two places above Eibar.
