Cholo: Rostov are dangerous

Diego Simeone has warned of the dangers of Russian side Rostov as Atletico Madrid prepare to face them on Wednesday night.

Rostov have one point from their opening two games although they are unbeaten in 26 home matches across all competitions, while vice-president Kurban Berdyev was the coach at Rubin Kazan when they knocked Atletico out of the Europa League in 2013.

"We have seen some of Rostov's games," Simeone told a news conference in Rostov ahead of the game.

"They are dangerous as they know exactly what they are doing. They can close up well at the back. Rostov is different to Rubin Kazan in 2013. Although they have the same coach, they have different players."

"Fernando Torres will be in the team – if I just went on form I would have to play with 15. I have no commitment with anybody, just with the team and to take the best approach to win the game."

Atletico top the group with six points from their opening two games after a win at PSV Eindhoven and defeating Bayern Munich at the Calderon.
