Suker: Sevilla always special to me

Davor Suker has confessed he is 'torn' on who he will support in the Champions League clash between Dinamo Zagreb and Sevilla.

The Croat joined Sevilla in 1991 from Dinamo and played for five seasons at Estadio Sanchez Pizjuan, scoring 91 goals.

“I enjoyed a long career, played in three World Cups and for clubs as big as Real Madrid, but Dinamo Zagreb and Sevilla are my two loves,” explained Suker in an interview with El Pais.

“I have a torn heart (for the Champions League clash) – on one hand, Dinamo are the club who made me and on the other, Sevilla are the club where my career took off.

“What Sevilla have accomplished in recent years is so impressive – playing high in the table and now in the Champions League after so much Europa League success, I am very happy for them!

“Monchi has done a tremendous job there and the transfer business has been amongst the best in Europe.

“The truth is Sevilla will always be special to me and I will always have great memories.
