Scaloni joins Sevilla staff

Former Argentine international Lionel Scaloni has joined Jorge Sampaoli's backroom staff at Sevilla as coach and opposition analyst.

Scaloni spent a total of ten years in Spain as a player – eight with Deportivo La Coruna and one with Racing Santander, while he also had a season-long loan deal at Real Mallorca, while he also had spells at West Ham United, Lazio and Atalanta.

He played for Argentina at the 2006 World Cup, and joins the coaching team led by his compratriot Sampaoli and Juan Manuel Lillo.
