Barcelona goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen insists while he was “sorry” for his blunder against Celta Vigo, “I won’t change my game as it’s only happened once”.
Barca had pulled two goals back against Celta to get to 3-2, yet with his side pushing hard for the equaliser, Ter Stegen failed to clear his lines and saw his attempt strike Pablo Hernandez, who scored from a block after he closed the German down.
“It’s my fault, I’m sorry. If I didn’t make my decision, we may have won,” the custodian said after the game.
“Despite what happened, I won’t change my game as it’s only happened once. Still, it was clearly my fault.
“We had a chance to win the game, but this defeat is very hard to take.
“We must continue, get up and go on. We must work hard and continue on the same path.”
Undoubtedly, Ter Stegen must learn from their mistakes never to make another monumental failure as the fact in Balaidos.
