Barcelona are reportedly keen on working on a deal to bring Atletico Madrid forward Yannick Ferreira Carrasco to Camp Nou, it is reported.

The Belgian attacker has a reported 40 million euro release clause at the Calderon and Barca view this as affordable for a player held in high regard by their sporting director Robert Fernandez, according to Sport.

The 23-year-old is contracted to Atletico until 2020 after signing a five-year deal with the club last summer following a move from French side Monaco.

However, the paper alledges that Carrasco has attracted Barca's attention for his consistently impressive displays, including scoring the winner against Bayern Munich on Wednesday night and netting his side's only goal in last season's Champions League final against Real Madrid.

The report goes on to say Atletico are working extensively to increase the Belgian's contract length and remove any release clause to remove the possibility of such a bid.
