Cesare Prandelli appears to have all but confirmed that he will be Valencia's new manager by replying 'thank you' when offered luck in the role.
The experienced boss who has coached the Italian national team alongside a host of clubs and he appears to be adding Valencia to that list after mass reports on Wednesday that he had signed a two-year deal with the struggling Spanish giants.
"Good luck on my Valencia adventure? Thank you, thank you," the 59-year-old told Tuttosport.
"But don't ask me questions, I won't speak, also in respect of the club. Please understand this."
Prandelli most recently coached Turkish club Galatasaray in 2014, but it now seems almost certain he will join Valencia and replace Pako Ayestaran, who was dismissed last week after four straight league defeats.
The club have since won back-to-back league matches under caretaker boss Voro, although they are still languishing in the bottom half of the table.
