Fran Escriba says draws “aren’t worth anything” to Villarreal ahead of Sunday’s match against Osasuna as they “must always go out to win”.
Villarreal are on a roll, having followed up back-to-back La Liga wins with an equally-creditable draw at Real Madrid midweek, and Escriba is feeling confident about the trip to Pamplona.
“We must control the euphoria. We need a calm victory,” the Coach said at a Press conference.
“We come from a series of good results, but we must remain calm like when things weren’t going well.
“At dressing-room level, I’m calm because the team have their heads in the game against Osasuna and are prepared.
“Our goal is to stay in the upper echelons of the table, and for this we have to fight a complicated battle, with suffering in every game.
“We must always go out to win because draws aren’t worth anything to us.
“We need a perfect performance at home, and I’ll always play the XI that I think is best for each match.
“I’ll only rotate if I think a player is tired and can’t give his best.”
