Jose Antonio Reyes has spoken of the relief around Espanyol following their first win of the campaign.
The elated summer signing from Sevilla spoke to the media after his side won 2-1 at Osasuna thanks to goals from Leo Bapistao and Gerard Moreno.
“We started to breathe,” said the 33-year-old after the game, in which he replaced the injured Pablo Piatti.
“I was a starter and we won, so I want to thank God for this opportunity.
“If we want to be an important team in this League and be up there with the best, we need to win at these grounds.
“We had a hesitant start but this will help give us confidence to push on and start winning more often.”
